Curtains of choice
From Steph Claire Smith to Buildher Collective to past contestants from The Block, Australia's design elite choose curtains from DIY Blinds for their homes for a reason.
There's a reason our curtains look so plush, full and luxurious. At DIY Blinds, we use 2.2 metres of fabric for every metre of curtain track. The generosity of fabric provides a premium finish and is more fabric per metre than our competitors.
Curtains are more than just a practical choice. With their long lines and floor-to-ceiling designs, you can emphasise the height of a room and elongate your walls and windows. S fold curtains are an excellent choice for this.
Combining sheers with blockout blinds is one of our most popular product combinations.
Gain all the benefits of installing a blockout roller blind behind your sheers: complete light control, daytime and nighttime privacy and incredible thermal insulation.
Having the full height sheers was really important to let all the natural light in.
Our curtains have 2.2 metres of fabric for every metre of track, which makes them look so plush.
How do motorised curtains work?
Motorised curtains, or automatic curtains can be controlled by a remote. This is a great solution if you have lots of curtains that you want to shut all at once.
Add a compatible smart home hub to add additional functionality like using an app or voice commands to control your blinds - or to set automatic scenes so your curtains close at the same time every day, even when you're away from home.
Curtains can do more than just block light. With the right combination of materials and products you'll find the solution for privacy, thermal insulation, and even creating a better TV watching experience.
Designer curtains meet premium technology.
Somfy + DIY Blinds
Privacy for day and night
Sheer curtains not only elevate a room, they provide excellent daytime privacy. Stop the neighbours from peering in without stopping the beautiful natural light.
Keep your home comfortable even in the middle of summer and winter. Blockout curtains, double curtains and lined curtains all provide excellent thermal insulation.
If you prefer sheer curtains, pair with a roller blind, or for the ultimate in light control and thermal insulation, it's hard to go past blockout curtains over plantation shutters.
Functionality at its finest
Sheer curtains are the ultimate for practical design. They soften harsh glare from the sun, which has so many functional benefits including reducing glare on your TV or computer. Sheer curtains can also protect your furniture and fittings from harsh UV rays.
Blockout and lined curtains provide incredible light control and are also a great option for improving acoustics.
It's a collaboration of me knowing the look that I wanted and DIY Blinds knowing the functionality and the practicality and how we can achieve that look.

Nope! Just give us the measurements of your window or wall and we’ll do all the math. For face fit curtains that only cover the window and not the whole wall, you might want to extend the curtain track a little bit to frame your windows nicely, but our measuring guides can walk you through the whole process from start to finish.
Yes, it’s incredibly easy to install our curtains! All you need is an electric drill, a step ladder and about 30 minutes. Read our guide to installing your curtains.
It’s up to you. A puddle on a curtain is where there are a couple of extra centimetres of fabric at the bottom of your curtains so it piles or “puddles” on the floor. You can have a puddle on any curtain, but we recommend this option when your floors are slightly uneven, as an off-the-floor finish will highlight this, while a puddle will hide it.
There’s no right or wrong here. Linen curtains are very on trend at the moment, but pure linen can be luxurious we also offer linen-blend or linen-look curtains for increased durability.
We want you to be confident if your choices, that’s why we will ship you samples of up to 24 fabrics for free. Order free samples.
