Make a decision

Before measuring your windows you need to decide whether you'll have your Venetians installed on the inside of the window frame as a recess fit, or the outside of the frame as a face fit.

Measuring Your Windows - Face Fit

  • Measure the Width

Measure the exact outside width of the window frame across the top, middle and bottom. This will help cater for any anomalies.

Once finished, record the largest measurement.

  • Measure the Drop

Measure the height of the window from the top of the frame to the bottom across the left, middle and right and use the largest measurement.

  • Example: Face Fit Blind

The blind will sit on the architrave of the window.

Measuring Your Windows - Recess Fit

Before settling on a Recess Fit...

Make sure you have a minimum depth of

- 70mm for 63mm Visionwood

- 60mm for 50mm Visionwood, Timber and Aluminium

- 30mm for 25mm Aluminium

Less than this will result in the Venetians protruding out in which case we recommend a face fit.

  • Measure the Width

Measure the exact inside width of the window frame across the top, middle and bottom. This will help cater for any anomalies.

Record the smallest measurement to ensure your blind fits in the recess.

  • Measure the Drop

Measure the exact inside height of the window frame. The edge of the blind will sit flush against the bottom of the frame.

  • Example: Recess Fit Blind

The blind will sit in the recess of the window.
